POSITION created a commercially structured film and photography library for a Mindelo hospitality operator, supporting trade sales, booking channels and consistent destination storytelling.

The challenge

The operator's image collection mixed outdated room photographs, informal event coverage and scenic material with unclear usage rights. Travel partners needed dependable assets for different formats, while potential guests lacked an accurate view of facilities and the surrounding experience. The commission required more than an attractive shoot. It needed a reusable evidence base that represented the property honestly and could be managed across commercial distribution channels.

Our approach

POSITION developed a shot strategy around guest decision points, trade partner requirements and the operator's service proposition. Production planning covered rooms, shared facilities, staff interactions and relevant destination context, with permissions and participant consent recorded. Film sequences and still images were captured for defined channel uses. The delivered library included descriptive metadata, rights information, selection guidance and version control so teams could find appropriate assets without misrepresenting current facilities.

The result

The operator received a governed visual library suited to sales presentations, booking platforms and direct communications. Teams could select assets by purpose and property feature rather than searching through disconnected folders. Consistent representation helped align guest expectations with the actual offer, while documented permissions supported responsible reuse. The mandate established an ongoing asset management approach, including when changes to facilities or services should trigger replacement content.

Outcomes

  • Channel-ready commercial visual library
  • Documented permissions and usage rights
  • Accurate hospitality presentation
